Hello Donna, the Winix C535 air purifier comes with filters. You will receive 1 pre filter (washable), 4 carbon filters (change every 3 months) and 1 True HEPA filter (change every 12 months)!

I know it says 1 year worth of filtration. Does it mean filters will come with the unit? Or do I need to order the filters separately? Thanks so much

Okay, so the day my air purifier was delivered they were plugged in which was June 27, 2020. The photos will show you the results in just a little over 4 months. We are a pet free, smoke free home.

I have been fighting with allergies for weeks not knowing what was going on I got this machine last night and I am telling you what it is amazing I can breathe. with just one night

an amazing air purifier

Kudos to the lady that delivered it very quickly to my front door. Staying home from work with the flu is depressing to say the least.  I'm one to always go, go, go. Although, I felt the opposite due to this viral bug.  I will tell you that having this air purifier was the perfect mind setter, for the positive!!  Within seconds to a few minutes I began breathing better air. The PlasmaWave technology showed me a blue light (which is good).  The noise is very soothing even on the highest fan setting.  It was a breeze to set up. The filters were all in place, I just had to peel a few pieces of plastic before plugging it in.  Prior to buying this product, my allergies were haywire.  Not just because I'm a teacher, but I suffer with seasonal allergies as well.  So, it kinda went hand in hand with my lifestyle. There is a little remote that came with it for convenience.

Clean the Air in My Home

Our family and I got really sick with the flu. 5 days into it we saw a video on TikTok where this lady talked about "Air Backwash". Essentially we are breathing the same air as everyone in the household hence why usually one gets sick everyone will breathe in that bacteria. If you haven't seen it you should look it up. 

She recommended that we leave the windows cracked even if its cold outside. We live in El Paso, TX, desert environment and we have really bad allergies and we also have a small dog. I decided to go ahead and buy this WINIX air purifier. 

So far we are feeling the difference. For us it took us a few days to really begin to notice the difference. Since we bought it we haven't had any issues with our allergies or gotten sick. We had a dust storm for 3 days straight. In the past it was so dusty that you could smell the dirt inside.

This dust storm we did not have that issue. We have it on all the time. I set it on high and it sounds like a small fan is on, nothing major. I have a two story home. We have the Winix down stairs. Our downstairs setup is the kitchen and my wife's office are connected to the living room. It does well but I still have a smaller air purifier (from Amazon, sorry Walmart) in her office just to make sure in my wife's office has really good coverage, again because of our allergies. Staying on the safe side. 

My son burned popcorn the other day and the smell went away slightly quicker with the Winix than when we didn't have it.  When we aren't home I'll place the Winix upstairs and it covers my upstairs very well. The Main bedroom along with the two of our kids home really cleans up the air. My upstairs is about half the size of my downstairs and I have three smaller air purifiers (From Amazon, again, sorry Walmart). With that being said, I turned off the three smaller ones upstairs and placed the Winix upstairs on high setting to see if it worked on its own covering what three air purifiers cover all together. I placed it in the hallway and it did the job slightly better because it covered our family restroom as well. So it did better than 3 smaller air purifiers do. Each air purifier covers about 500 sq. feet each.

Lets talk about the price. $158.00 is what it cost me. I did not want to pay that much however after doing some research on the Winix, I read all the reviews on each stores website it was available at and for the most part the Winix is reviewed very well so I decided to buy it. Walmart had it available same day and it was $15 cheaper than other stores. 

You get 3 filters all together. I did the math and one of the smaller air purifiers I bought were $35 each with one filter. Extra filters cost anywhere from $12 - $22 and that's for one. I bought 4 purifiers for each bedroom and my wife's office. I paid roughly $140 for all four with only one filter each. I could have just bought one for the hallway and know that it will do better than those 4. I would buy it again. I hope this helps! - Oscar

this thing is light and easy to carry with the built in handle.  love how ultra QUIET it is and smile to use.  the filters were packaged with easy instructions for set up.  pretty much plug n play.  had it on an hour and no sniffles! came with 2 extra filters as described, and remote.  love!
