Best Buy is offering major discounts on name-brand appliances for the 4th of July

The Fourth of July may be more than a week away, but already, the savings bonanza has begun at over at Best Buy! Through July 8, the retailer is offering up significant markdowns of up to 41% with a big appliance sale that encompasses everything from top-rated washers and dryers to refrigerators and microwaves—all from some of the best names in the biz. What's more, you'll get a free $100 Best Buy gift card when you purchase two or more major appliances for $999 or more together and a $200 gift card with your purchase of two or more select Samsung appliances.

Stoves and Ranges

This gas convection range is at a great price.

At 41% off is this Samsung NX58R5601SS gas convection range, which drops from $1,099.99 to $649.99. While we haven’t tried this exact model out, we awarded a similar 5.8 cubic-foot freestanding gas convection range—the sold-out NX58H5600SS—with our coveted Editor’s Choice award in our list of the best gas ranges on the market. In testing, we found that it looked and performed like a high-end range, with well-designed grates, exceptionally fast preheating and a quick-boiling burner.

The current sale model has two additional power burners that that the NX58H5600SS did not. Apart from that, in a side-by-side comparison of the two on Best Buy’s site, the main differences we saw between them were the knob controls the NX58R5601SS has versus the NX58H5600SS’s electronic ones, the rear versus front oven control location and the lower broiler burner rating (the NX58R5601SS has 13500 British thermal units against the NX58H5600SS’s 17,000).

Washers and Dryers

If an upgrade on your washing machine is in order, there are several top-notch options up for grabs from the brand during this sale. This workhorse Samsung WF45R6300AV front-load machine, which took home an Editor’s Choice award from our team in the best front-load washer category, is marked down by $290 from $989.99 to $699.99. Not only does it boast a "dizzying" array of cycles and features, including an extra-hot sanitize option that can handle all kinds of germs and bacteria, it gets the job done in the stain department, too. This Samsung WF45R6100AW front-load model, by contrast, boasts one of the best stain-removing cycles we've ever seen, and is marked down from $809.99 to $629.99. 

Microwaves 

Less than $200? We'll take it!

Looking for microwaves? For starters, there's this best-selling GE 1.6 cubic-foot JVM3160RFSS over-the-range device, which is priced just under $200 (originally $290), boasts 1,000 watts of power and comes complete with an attractive stainless-steel finish. It also just so happens to have a 4.5-star review from a whopping 3,200 shoppers. Buyers note that it works—and looks—great, though it can be tricky to install without the help of an expert. 

Countertop microwaves, on the other hand, like this Sharp SMC1132CS, once $119.99 and now $99.99, has long impressed buyers and Reviewed testers alike with its multiple power levels, 1.1 cubic-feet of interior space and plenty of presets. You'll want to note that it's not great for dimly-lit spaces, however, as the interior light only works when the door is closed and the machine is running.

Refrigerators 

This fridge is less than $1,000.

Some of the biggest discounts we saw from this sale came in the refrigerator department, with prices being slashed by up to $1,000. This LG LFCS22520S French-door stainless-steel fridge, for instance, is $700 off during this sale, falling from $1,699.99 to $999.99. It's got glowing reviews from more than 300 buyers, who note that its fingerprint resistant (but really), runs extremely quietly and has an easy hookup for the ice maker. It has a 21.8 cubic-feet capacity. 

Spend just a little bit more, and you can walk away with the Samsung RF260BEAESR—a.k.a. one of the best refrigerators on the market. Right now, it's been reduced from $1,599.99 to $1,199.99 for a discount of $400 during this savings event. We found that this 25.5 cubic-foot capacity fridge had superior food preservation capabilities in our temperature tests . We also enjoyed it for its internal ice maker and handy deli drawer. All in all, it held up "in almost every way" against fridges with double its price tag.
